Lhote apparatus for seltzer water in paris porcelain from the 19th century. Container for domestic use, divided into 2 interior compartments separated by a vertical partition. Both caps are present. Two enamelling defects in the porcelain, visible in the photos. The lhotes were created in paris in 1870, they are the ancestors of the glass siphons, which appeared in 1900. Each compartment received a solution composed of one part tartaric acid and the other part baking soda. Each of the orifices of the spout is connected to one of the compartments and the mixture of the two solutions at the outlet formed a carbonated water intended mainly for medicinal oral use (gargling or mouthwashes). Another use was to cut certain alcohols, such as wine or absinthe. Dimensions: height 21 cm - base diameter 12 cm. Careful packaging, I answer all your questions regarding the objects and their shipment. Thank you for your visit, do not hesitate to discover my selency store.
