Antique oil on canvas portrait of a woman in traditional costume wearing the sailor sun headdress, a typical headdress from nord-pas-de-calais. There was a so-called "mourning" sun, without lace on top, it would seem that our pretty sailor with light eyes is dressed in an authentic mourning sun. She wears a shawl on her shoulders and a wide ribbon necklace around her neck decorated with a large golden cross, a fashionable jewelry at the end of the 19th century. Dimensions: 64x54 cm.
