Large Dalmatian in Italian ceramic from the 1970s.

For sale: superb statuette of a sitting Dalmatian dog with a long neck, a great classic of Mid-Century Modern and kitsch-chic design from the 1970s. • Origin: Italian craftsmanship (Bassano production style / Hollywood Regency). • Dimensions: Height of 40 cm (intermediate model, rarer and easier to place on a sideboard or shelf than the giant version). • Details: Nice contrasting red collar, expressive hand-painted eyes with long eyelashes, very shiny finish (majolica glaze). • Condition: Very good overall vintage condition, colors and shine are superb, a discreet small chip on the forehead, see photo. The bottom is protected by original felt to avoid scratching your furniture. Ideal for vintage, retro, loft decoration or for collectors of antique animal ceramics. Preferably hand delivery (given the fragility of the ceramic) or very careful and ultra-protected shipping (thick bubble wrap and double-corrugated cardboard).
