Austinsuite dressing table

An amazing piece of vintage and mid century modern furniture in a dressing table by Austinsuite. The chest of drawers consists of a total of four drawers each one hand crafted with superb dove tail jointing and offering excellent storage while on each drawer there is a superb teak handle crafted on top of the drawer fronts. The dressing table comes with the original mirror framed on two sides in teak with two supports that hold the mirror in place, the mirror is also able to tilt giving the user the perfect angle. Within the centre their is a large open space to allow for seating with the cabinet sitting on four tapered teak legs. The dressing table has been crafted by Austinsuite and bears their gold makers mark within the top drawer, designed by Frank Guille who was one of Britain's finest mid-century designers. His work was defined by a dedication to function, utility and simplicity he first learned from English masters Robin Day and Gordon Russell with a later scholarship in Copenhagen he studied under one of the founders of Danish modern furniture design Kaare Klint as well as various commissions for the Royal college of art. The sideboard is a stunning and practical piece of mid century and vintage furniture with a fabulous look and design and also a practical piece of furniture with a variety of uses from a chest of drawers, sideboard. dressing table, desk or console that would suit any home or environment. The mirror is also in great condition.
