Miura Trend chairs by Elisabetta Gucci for Formitalia, 1980s, set of 2.

Elisabetta Gucci, daughter of Paolo Gucci and great-granddaughter of Guccio Gucci, founder of the famous fashion house, designed the “Miura Trend” rocking chairs for Formitalia in the 1980s. The chairs, featuring double stitching, are made of bright red calfskin, with inserts in two-tone printed python and brass brackets. There is a brass Formitalia plaque with the typical Gucci logo placed beside the seat, and a fabric label positioned near the python insert. These are significant chairs, extremely comfortable, elegant, and enveloping. Although they are rocking chairs, they have great stability, and the rocking feature can be enjoyed whenever desired, as the special curved bars underneath (runners), on which the chairs rest and which allow for oscillation, are specifically designed to provide the freedom to choose between sitting on a stable chair or enjoying the rocking motion. Note: It may not be immediately obvious, but the python print features the design of the brackets, typical of the logo. Dimensions of the chairs: W.90 cm X H. 85 cm X D.100 cm. The condition of the chairs that make up the set is excellent, as good as new. Curiosity: Elisabetta Gucci was called into question by the Maison after this production for using the Gucci logo without permission. The lawsuit ended without any financial claim from the Maison, but with the withdrawal of such items from the market. This made these items hard to find, which can undoubtedly be defined as rare today.
