Danish Holmegaard blown glass vase

"Hjertevase" vase or "heart of glass" vase from the Danish brand Holmegaard, designed by Per Lükten. It is made of smoked green blown glass, one of the most representative and sought-after tones of the brand in the 1950s and 1960s. This model belongs to its iconic lines of organic and fluid shapes from the mid-century (Danish Mid-Century Modern), characterised by thick and heavy glass that distorts light in a sculptural way. It is signed on the base: "Holmegaard PL (Per Lükten) 15719 (design number). Per Lütken was active at Holmegaard from 1942 to 1998, creating over 3, 000 hand-blown designs). It measures 11 cm in height X 16 cm in width X 9 cm in depth. It has no defects.
