The iconic cone chair, by the iconic danish designer verner panton, dates from 1958-1960. It was created for the kom igen restaurant (which belonged to verner panton's father) in denmark. It takes its name from its cone shape resting on its tip. Composition: steel sheet structure. Stainless steel base. Textile upholstery. Polyether foam. Edition: this is an edition from the danish company plus-linje, the historical manufacturer of this model before vitra. Condition: it is in perfect condition and stable. The fabric is red. No holes or tears. The seat is comfortable. The chair swivels and has its four original glides. The fabric is a little sparse, due to normal use of the chair. Seat height: 48 cm. To learn more, on the vitra website, a fascinating and richly documented history.
