Bridge chair from the 50s or 60s in dark tinted wood and red fabric (long-haired velvet?). This bridge chair was in a terrible state when I got to my house, and there's still work to be done on it. It is still solid and stable but has many different stripes and marks on the wood, and a shine on an armrest (which I repaired). I did what I could, sanding the marked areas and repairing (wood glue and tightening, then sanding) the armrest (the repair remains visible). I recolored the repairs (nut scramble) and passed a very light layer of varnish on the whole, to unify the whole without the shiny side of the new. The burlap underneath is not in such bad condition, but the fabric is it to change, it is worn, removed, faded. Plastic hairs are present but have yellowed. The seat is still pretty firm, the springs inside don't seem broken (but I didn't open to check). One of the armrests moves a little, it will be necessary to tighten the anchors at the time of retaping. It is 84 cm high, about 50 cm high at the seat level, and the footprint is 46 cm by 46 cm. 58 cm wide with armrests. It weighs about 6 kg.
