1960's side table

This side table was produced in 1960’s in former czechoslovakia. It was originally sold as a radio or tv table, with the low shelf (made of navy string) being used for newspaper or magazines. At the time this was a very popular piece of furniture and there are many variations by different designers. We particularly like this table for its simple but distinctive design with fine detailing and honey brown colour. Maybe the time of having a table specifically for the radio has gone but this table hasn’t lost any of it’s design appeal and would be still a great addition as a side table today. This coffee table is in great vintage condition showing only minimal natural wear and tear. The wooden frame, legs and the table top have been all cleaned and re polished to its original condition by our experienced restorer. There is a minimal marking on the tabletop acquired over the years.
