Central island old printer's marble

This old printer's marble dating from the 19th century comes from an old parisian printing works. What is printer’s marble used for. It is the piece of furniture on which the layout is carried out and then the composition is blocked in the form, before it goes to print. Which consists of a cast iron plate and a wooden structure. The one I am offering for sale is made of ash, for which I wanted to retain its blackened patina. For the top, I made a metal plate, which I aged to keep this industrial look (because the previous owner wanted to keep the cast iron on top). Metal plate with a leather effect that I really like, to which I applied a colorless matte varnish, as well as to the 2 wooden tops. I can imagine it perfectly as a central island in a kitchen. Dimensions: h.88.5 X l.98.2 X d.78 all my furniture is carefully restored, cleaned and treated against woodworms.
