Bridge Bow Wood Armchairs 1950

Pair of bridge armchairs attributed to Wilhelm von Bode by Steiner, French design from the 1950s, original skai and bent wood. This armchair, made of bent ash, is an aesthetic and technical challenge. Its base is crafted from a single piece of curved solid wood, which forms the armrest. A brass ring, the only point of attachment, connects the base and backrest, ensuring flexibility and great seating comfort. The seat is soft, very comfortable, covered in tawny-coloured skai. In good vintage condition, with original varnish. Slight signs of wear and a scratch on the skai (see close-up photo). Also note some signs of use on the wood. Dimensions: w58xd64xh77.
