Magnificent antique shell-shaped mirror with carved and gilded wooden frames, late 19th/early 20th century, in the Louis XV Baroque style. The inscription "guaranteed gilded with gold leaf" is present. The richly carved wood features beautifully patinated gold leaf gilding. The decoration is abundant with scrolls, foliage, and acanthus leaves, characteristic of the Baroque style. The back has been recently restored. Hanging hardware is included.
