Desk - notary's cardboard box

Notary's desk in mahogany, equipped with multiple storage options: desk with a leather-covered flap (original) serving as a writing surface, small side drawer with inkwell, drawer under the desk with a locking system for ten green leather-fronted boxes (recent) used for organising files and papers. France, Louis Philippe period, circa 1830-50. This piece, although functional as is, requires minor restorations (see photos): missing mouldings, veneer lifts, a few woodworm holes, and previous restorations on the side.
