Large rectangular vintage mirror in bamboo, rattan, and caning from the 1960s. The mirror features a stunning design with a warm, burnt bamboo and tiger-striped rattan and bamboo frame with clean, rounded lines. The background or surround of the mirror is covered with a beautifully patinated cane surface, giving it a truly pop feel reminiscent of certain pieces made on the Riviera during this period (see photos). The piece is in very good original and vintage condition with light signs of age and previous use, as well as a patina of age, on the overall structure, the mirror, the caning, and the frame, as one would expect for a piece of this age (see photos), but nothing that detracts from its cool look. The caning has no tears. The mirror has no cracks or chips (see photos) and measures 59.5 cm high x 35 cm wide. There is a hook on the back, so the piece can be easily mounted vertically on a wall (see photo). It can also be mounted horizontally if desired by adjusting the mounting points (see photo). This is a very attractive mirror that will work well in any mid-century modern, rustic-contemporary, or retro-bohemian space, such as an entryway, bedroom, living room, bathroom, hallway, conservatory, or even on a patio or balcony. Note: All photos were taken outdoors in natural light, so colors may vary slightly depending on the viewing angle.
