Plate ceramic pottery Sant Vicens in Perpignan, decoration signed Jean Lurçat representing a character stylized, brilliant glazes white on a brown background. The 1950s. Perfect condition. Diameter 21,5 cm. Signature on the back: drawing J.lurcat Sant Vicens and serial number. BY THE WAY... Lurçat John (1892-1966). The master of the contemporary tapestry turned to ceramics in the early 1950s. He stayed regularly at the pottery Sant Vicens, created by Firmin Bauby in Perpignan. It is decorates dishes, vases, pitchers and other objects of daily life. His work as a ceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as the one who dresses the radio House in Strasbourg.
