Floor lamp column in polychrome and mirrored wood

This exceptional floor lamp is made of a painted column, decorated with small cloisonné mirrors and carved bead friezes. The colours are mainly dark red, olive green and bronze. The column has been placed on a sturdy wooden block. The column looks quite old and in its own juice, but that is where its charm lies. It has an antique Florentine/Venetian look, but I think it is probably Indian and may have been part of a palanquin. I have not been able to give an indication of date because I have not found anything similar to compare it to. Condition: old condition: in its own juice. Look carefully at the photos. One mirror is broken, but this is not obvious. A hole near the base is probably for wiring. Dimensions: 118 cm high (125 cm high with socket), base 17.5 X 17.5 cm, 7 kg.
