Vintage stackable chairs by Sokoa, a French manufacturer known for its robust institutional and industrial seating. These chairs feature a perforated shell made of brushed aluminium/steel, with a raw silhouette leaning towards brutalism. The seat and backrest are rounded with a dense grid of punched holes, mounted on a flared tubular metal base with black rubber tips and stacking stops. Originally designed for high-traffic institutional use (schools, offices, waiting rooms), these chairs are made to be stacked and moved continuously, which is reflected in their honest and functional design language: no unnecessary ornamentation, just metal, perforations, and structure.
