Large silver tray with rocaille handles – mid-20th century

Superb round silver-plated tray with two side handles richly decorated with rocaille motifs (scrolls, shells, and foliage). Carefully crafted, probably French or European, dating from the mid-20th century. The surface is smooth, with a molded edge, and shows some signs of use, including micro-scratches and pitting, consistent with its age. The finely chiseled handles illustrate the classic taste and craftsmanship of silver production from this period.
