St Amand iron earth dishes

Antique oval dish and shell-shaped slip serving dish from the St Amand earthenware factory, circa 1900. These earthenware dishes are not part of the same service but have decorations in the same style (floral garlands) in identical shades (navy blue and orange-brown). The glaze of the serving dish is more marked by the years; it shows wear/colored stains, probably due to contact with food, as well as a chip on the back and a discreet crack. Also note some chips, scratches and traces of use. Not surprising considering that they are almost 125 years old!
