Important blue glazed ceramic vase signed by Max Idlasflag

Important vase by the French ceramist Max Idlas (1932-2019). Glazed ceramic in a midnight blue color with a sculptural form, signed and numbered 5 on the reverse, dating from the 1960s. Max Idlas was born in Marseille in 1932. A self-taught artist, he opened his first pottery workshop in Montmartre, Paris, in 1954. In 1964, he moved to Brittany and set up his ceramics and painting studio in a former charcoal factory. Dimensions: H38 X W25 X D11 cm. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
