Mid-century modern Danish extendable cantilever wall lamp with a rattan shade, 1960s.

Vintage design. Mid-century wall lamp with a cantilevered pivoting arm and a rattan shade. The otherwise minimalist design of this wall lamp is interrupted by the striking shade. The rattan shade hangs from a simple wide cantilevered arm. The arm is angled back and pivots in a discreet wall mounting plate. The unique feature is the extension mechanism, which allows the arm to be extended continuously. The extended section is finished in chrome, contrasting with the black. The rattan shade is open at the bottom, allowing light to shine downwards. Depending on the type of bulb, the lamp projects either a striking pattern or diffused light into the room. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina. Dimensions: H: 50 cm, W: 38 cm, D: 82-130 cm.
