Set consisting of a very sturdy and quite heavy solid pine table and four chairs. Inspired by mountain furniture (style Les Arcs, Tapiovaraa...) from the 1960s, it evokes the work of Maison Regain, particularly that selected by Charlotte Perriand for the Cascade residence, Les Arcs, around 1967. The four chairs (very heavy) rest on four rectangular-section legs connected by two side rails and a central stretcher. The seat is made up of two convex wooden boards towards the centre, with a slightly backward-inclined and curved backrest. The table also rests on four rectangular-section legs connected by two side rails and a central stretcher. The tabletop is very thick, and an end drawer provides additional storage. There is a furniture and wood stamp under the tabletop. The whole is dowelled. In very good overall condition, with original patina on the table and chair legs, while the tabletop has been sanded and then varnished. There are some old residual stains and marks that cannot be removed. - Table dimensions - l 140 x p 89 x h 73.5 cm. Thickness of the tabletop - 4.5 cm. Drawer dimensions - l 21 x p 49 x h 7.5 cm. Height under the apron - 60 cm. Chair dimensions - l 45 x p 45 x h 86 cm. Seat height - 43 and 46 cm.
