Metal Zoomorphic Brutalist Chair, Germany 1980s

Unique and extravagant brutalist metal chair handcrafted by unknown designer/artist, Germany 1980s. This extraordinary chair comes from the era of the rebellious Neues Deutsches Design (New German Design). Described as "Schrill, bizarr, brachial", New German Design was a short-lived 1980s movement that rejected minimalist trends. It used bold, often "ugly" styles, unusual materials, and humor to challenge traditional ideas of "good taste, " embracing irony, experimentation, and individuality. The chair features a steel frame and a seat upholstered in a velvet-like fabric with an interesting texture. Condition: The chair is in good vintage condition.
