Erdecor Escaut retractable mirror tray • Gilded with fine gold • 1950

Pretty oval sun mirror that can be used as a small tray with a fine gold-plated brass wire frame. Produced in Escaut for the French registered trademark erdecor in the 1950s. The spokes of this one are retractable and can be laid flat as a mirror or raised for use as a tray. In good condition given its great age. The gilding is in very good condition but the mirror's silver is pitted (see photos), and attests to its authenticity and age., open dimensions: length 33 cm • width 27 cm.
