Dish of clear and colored glass designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard Glassworks. Signed HO. MB, 2003 and 117/1900. Made for Dyrup Farver's (a Danish color manufactor) 75th anniversary 2003. Dimensions: Diameter 40 cm, Height 3.7 cm. Weight 3000 g. Michael Bang (1942-2013) was a central figure in Danish glass design in the second half of the 20th century. Rooted in a design tradition from his father, who was the first designer at Holmegaard Glassworks. He had his own modern expression, created timeless glass products that balance graphic energy and functional simplicity. His work has left a lasting mark on both Holmegaard and the wider Scandinavian design world.
