This is an amazing stack of 9 mixed hunting/game bird plates and bowls, in nine different designs, a "ready-to-display" set for your china hutch/vintage dresser. Ideal for decorating kitchen walls or for celebrations/ weddings/ shabby chic dinner parties. This is a "one of a kind" plate collection, sumptuously ornate plates, rare and collectible. Beautiful landscape illustrations, in an autumnal palette that is timelessly elegant. All these plates are french, dating from the 1920's to the 1980's. They all have "gilt" edge borders. These exquisite, stylish plates would look wonderful displayed in a hunting lodge/country manor setting. The stack is made up of: Three large dinner plates, measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter. Two dinner plate measuring 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter. Two dinner plate measuring 23cms/ 9" diameter. Two bowls, measuring 23cms/9" diameter X 3.5cms/ 1¼" deep. They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. They may have the faintest wear to the gilding and motifs, consistent with their age and use, and the beginnings of "hairline crackle" to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of these plates, and in no way detracts from the beauty or quality of this beautiful plate stack. They have many years of service yet to offer. Et voilà!.
