Kern& Cie Aarau scientific and topographic measuring device in its box

Very rare instrument of scientific and topographic measurements in its original box and accessories. It is also called graduated theodolite. It is made of brass and it is signed kern & cie sa aarau famous swiss company in the nineteenth century. It was used to measure angles, lengths, distances and elevations. It is numbered on the 203 d box as well as on most accessories. The box consists of: a sextant, three levels (round, elongated and rectangular), two large circular pieces, a screwdriver, a brush, 3 large screws, a circular tube, a long rod. Its box is black, numbered and in a state of use, without keys. No broken instrument, in good condition with wear of use that leaves small traces. Ideal in a cabinet of curiosities, a decoration business or for a collector of antique, scientific, optical, military or maritime instruments. Box measurement: l 57.5 h 23 cm d 15 cm.
