Here is a series of 8 beautiful antique knife holders.  depicting busts of children.  -  model "sulky children" after jean-antoine houdon. (1741-1828), created in the nineteenth century. Model referenced in. Several catalogues including the baccarat 1907 catalogue, page. 133, no. 503. Knife holder with a knife holder at each end. Frosted crystal baby bust, as opposed to the bar. Central in polished crystal. They are made of baccarat crystal. They do not  Are not signed because produced before. 1936. This model is listed in the 1903 catalogue, model s.503. Dimensions: 10 X 3.2 cm height: 4.8 cm. Period: 1900 - 1920.   Very good condition, a tiny frog on a knife holder, but it is very discreet.
