Vintage Murano Sommerso Table Lighter

Magnificent and elegant vintage Murano glass lighter. Of Italian origin (Murano), from the 1960s-70s of the last century. This piece is made from overlapping layers of hand-blown coloured glass. It features a dazzling interior core in vibrant cobalt blue, submerged within a warm amber glass casing and layers of clear glass. The exterior octagonal or multifaceted shape has been hand-carved and polished from a solid block of glass. Its facets act as a natural prism that spectacularly refracts light depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The glass is in excellent vintage condition, with optimal preservation of shine and colour clarity, and minimal micro-wear. It includes a classic retro-style removable chrome table lighter mounted on the upper neck, aesthetically well-maintained but currently non-functional. Dimensions: 9 cm in length and width, 12 cm diagonally, and 10 cm in height. It will be shipped in careful and secure packaging.
