Vintage handled vase in German ceramic by Scheurich Keramik, model 416-26 "Inka", 1960s.

This beautiful piece features a slender and architectural silhouette, characteristic of West Germany creations from the Mid-Century period. Its large angular handle runs the full height of the vase, giving it a particularly graphic appearance. The ceramic is covered in a superb yellow ochre glaze with honey, mustard, and brown hues, showcasing numerous variations in tone that add depth to the surface. The body is entirely rhythmically decorated with a geometric relief pattern composed of circles, rectangles, ovals, and small dotted motifs arranged in successive friezes. This decoration, known as "Inka, " is one of the patterns used by Scheurich on this form. The underside bears the relief marking "416-26 W.GERMANY": 416 corresponds to the form reference and 26 to its nominal height of approximately 26 cm. Examples bearing this exact marking are well attributed to the Scheurich Keramik factory. Overall very good vintage condition, with slight traces and irregularities related to age and manufacturing. No cracks or restorations, as visible in the photographs. Dimensions: 26 cm in height × approximately 14 cm in maximum width. Weight: approximately 950 g.
