Fortuné car, painter born in 1905 in marseille and died in the same city in 1970. Painter of the provençal school born into a family of artists, fortuné car began as a painter of theater sets in a vast workshop inherited from his uncle. After the second world war, he devoted himself to easel painting, constantly painting seafronts on the côte d'azur and landscapes of his provence in the hinterland. The works of this artist have seduced many amateurs both in france and abroad. His dynamic and colorful style, generous in the relief material, gives his works a beauty characteristic of his origins. This painting from the 1950s, an oil on canvas depicting a shepherd and his sheep. Good condition in its original frame.
