A classic maralunga sofa by vico magistretti for cassina, italy. The sofa was manufactured in the 1980s and has adjustable head rests (there is a mechanism inside the sofa that allows the head rests to be adjusted to suit). The colour is 'plum' (dark mauve). The upholstery is the original period velvet fabric with a light striped pattern. The effect of the fabric and form of the sofa is that it has soft curves with a two-tone effect. It has the cassina label and the fabric below the cushions has the company name sewn into it. The sofa came from a very good house that looked after it very well - it is therefore free of smells and in excellent condition. We have sold many of these sofas over the years and this one is the best condition one that we have ever sold.
