Very beautiful painting after Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), "Le souvenir", painted between 1775 and 1778, and kept today in the Wallace collection in London. Oil on panel, 80.5 x 60 cm. Very beautiful copy made by the Dagher workshop, official copyists of the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. The Dagher workshop was made up of a father and his two sons who were renowned copyists at the Louvre Museum and the Orsay Museum. With an international clientele, they made a living from their art and were notably at the origin of numerous decorations for Monaco hotels, including the Métropole. They produced a large number of oils on canvas inspired by the greatest masterpieces of classical painting, from Titian to Renoir, including the French artists of La Tour, François Boucher, Vigée Le Brun, Fragonard, Ingres , David, Géricault, the Italian masters Da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, Guido Reni, Peter of Cortona, and even the Dutch painters Rubens and Vermeer.
