Large floral carpet with natural wool, a very beatiful design, the background is in blue and black color, with colorful flowers, being tinted using traditional techniques. This handmade area carpet is perfect for a bohemian romantic decor. It is a vintage item but in a very good condition, never been used, ready to be part of your home decor as a rug ( it is not very thick but it can be used as a rug), or tapestry for the wall. Large size. It is an original handwoven item from colorful north romania, mid of the XX century, using traditional methods and wool from the local environment. Those handmade rugs are unfortunately very rare now. In romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
