Gigia table lamp by Piero de Longhi for IBIS, c.1975

Table or wall lamp, model Gigia. Made by the industrial designer Piero de Longhi. This lamp consists of a metal structure combined with cream-coloured fabric. It was produced by the small lighting and furniture company IBIS, based in Sarcedo, northern Italy. During their existence, IBIS produced a limited number of lighting models that mostly featured vibrant colours and natural elements such as canvas and wood. Some other designers who worked for IBIS were G.P.A Monti, Werther Toffoloni and Mario Tudor. The lamp is in overall very good condition, with some minor spots on the fabric.
