MORIN & BOST LYON - French Art Deco lamp by Morin & Bost Lyon with signed mould press glass shade by PrimaFlore (ca 1930)

Original morin & bost lyon hammered wrought iron bed side / table lamp from the 30's. The lamp has an amazing deep brown patina with a soft varnish to preserve the metal. The heavy and thick pressed glass tulipe shade is signed primaflore. This shade is the original one from the old mb lyon catalogue. The lamp's sleek design is a nice example of minimalistic art deco. Handcrafted hammered wrought iron was the trademark of morin's factory located in lyon france. During the interbellum period the house produced lamps with glass shades from nancy (daum, muller freres, delatte, schneider). Morin formed a trade association with bost and produced several outstanding nowadays very sought after lamps including a number of stunning modernist pieces. It's condition is great, hardly no signs of use or wear. The lamp comes re-wired with black cloth covered twisted cord, an elegant on/off switch and bakelite plug.
