Bernard Rooke table lamp with original shade, England 1960. Height: 45 cm - Diameter: 30 cm - Depth: 9 cm. Can be sold with or without the original shade. This design is also an early example of Rooke's work, likely dating from the 1960s. A sculptural piece, made up of handmade ceramic elements in natural tones of terracotta and stone, with a combination of finishes. The ceramic is in good vintage condition, with minor wear and imperfections consistent with the handmade manufacturing and firing process - including cracks, chips, loss of glaze, and minor asymmetry - see images for more details and insight.
