Vintage Copper Pendant Lamp Nyhavn by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær for Louis Poulsen, 1980s

An elegant pendant light from the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, designed by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær in the 1980s. This is a rare version in copper. The distinctive feature is the flat shade, which ensures a particularly wide distribution of light downwards. The light fixture is rounded at the top. Between the rounded parts, it is divided into anti-glare rings connected by struts. Inside is a copper-coloured cylinder, illuminated from below. The cylinder and the anti-glare rings thus provide additional indirect lighting. The light fixture is heavy and of high quality. It is in very good condition with signs of use and patina. It has been partially polished for a beautiful shine and re-wired by a craftsman.
