Modern Danish mid-century enfilade, teak, 1960s

Elegant teak sideboard from Denmark. This sideboard is appealing due to its minimalist shape. The simple facade is almost flush and features little decoration. Even the rounded recessed handles of the sliding doors blend into this minimalist design. The frame surrounding the body has a narrow inward edge. The mitred corners with inset solid wood edges are a special feature. The solid base is made of rectangular wood. The simple legs taper slightly towards the bottom. The sideboard has large compartments with sliding doors and compartments with pull-out drawers. With a height of 116 cm, this sideboard is more of a tall, shallow console. The upper level offers additional storage space. The lower level features continuous shelves whose height can be adjusted via rows of holes. The shelf on the upper level is cut in the middle, allowing for the storage of taller items such as bottles and can be used, for example, as a bar. Practical sliding drawers are hidden behind the sliding doors on both sides. There are four perfectly matched sets on each side. The sideboard is in very good condition with signs of wear and a beautiful patina.
