Doubble neck italian MCM vase

Mid century modern doubble neck vase of the 1950’ in black thick glaze with textured finish and vibrand colors on the two sides with still life bottles decor in primary colors and on the front a decor of a steamboat. Made by the san marino factory marmaca (1947-1964) wich was the most important factory in the recent history of the republic of san marino. After the war, this factory was leading in innovating stoneware and the firt to delve into the modern art movement. Created in 1947 it wass allready in 1949 that the firm employed more than 200 people. It had an enormous international sucess and their mid century modern ceramics are highly collectible.
