Cream-painted wooden corner cabinet in Art Deco style with floral decoration.
Antique corner glass cabinet in Art Deco style, painted cream wood. It opens with two glass doors adorned with small pink curtains featuring a woven pattern, mounted on rods. The front has cut corners, framed by two fluted pilasters topped with stylized sculpted roses. At the top of the doors, a triangular floral motif is carved and shared between the two panels, with a slight golden highlight in the recesses. Dark metal handles with tassels. The interior in natural wood is divided by a shelf, and the back is closed with nailed raw wood boards. Likely made in the 1920s or 1930s. The stylized flowers, fluting, and geometry of the front are characteristic of the Art Deco vocabulary, prevalent in interwar furniture. This piece can fit in the corner of a living room, dining room, bedroom, or bathroom, for storing linen, dishes, or books. The painted wood and pink curtains can suit a chic bohemian decor as well as a more minimalist interior. Height: 75 cm, width of each side: 60 cm, angle: 90°, diagonal of the front: 85 cm, width of each door: 33 cm, height of the upper shelf: 24 cm, height of the lower shelf: 45.5 cm. Generally in good condition, with paint chips, a few small dents on the top, and slight signs of use on the front, glass in good condition. The back in raw wood shows knots and stains.
