Casigliani METAFORA coffee table, designed by Lella & Massimo Vignelli, Italy, 1979. The four Euclidean geometric shapes - cube, cylinder, sphere, and pyramid - each made from four different materials, form the base of the table, topped with a large sheet of transparent glass. These four independent elements can be positioned freely without compromising the identity of the table, regardless of their arrangement. The four geometric shapes are made from different materials: the pyramid in white Carrara marble, the cube in black marble, the cylinder in travertine, and the sphere in Rasotica marble. Italian style, vintage, mid-century, minimalist, modernist. Condition: The glass top has chips and some scratches, visible in the photos. Wear consistent with age and use.
