Vintage Jasba ceramic vase with reliefs of fantastic animals – All

Superb vintage ceramic vase from the German manufacturer Jasba, probably dating from the 1960s. With a rounded shape and two small side handles, this piece stands out for its extraordinary relief decoration featuring fantastic animals surrounded by plant and geometric motifs. The sculpted figures evoke the mythological creatures of ancient civilisations and give the object an almost archaeological dimension. The surface, with warm shades of terracotta, ochre, and dark brown, particularly highlights the richness of the details and the depth of the reliefs. A beautiful example of West German ceramics, to be displayed as a vase or as a true sculptural decorative object.
