Oyster plates Gien France

Series of 6 French earthenware oyster plates, circa 1950-1960, signed Gien in glazed slip ceramic with moss green tones, this set is very special because it is still in its original modern organic wooden box, traditional in France for transporting real oysters. The dishes, in pristine condition, are molded with six oyster shapes around a central well designed for lemon or dipping sauce. Dimensions: 26.5 in diameter. 0.9 in height.
