Henri II style desk in painted wood with trompe-l'oeil marble

This henri II style desk (but I think it dates from the end of the 19th century) is made of white painted wood, with a drawer. The top is decorated with trompe l'oeil in the style of gray marble. There are many chips in the white paint and you can see the wood of the top "split" in two places, without this taking away from its charm or solidity.
