Superb earthenware vase signed Henriot Quimper, dating from around 1900–1920. Its slender octagonal shape and scalloped neck give it a rare and elegant appearance, highly representative of the production of this period. The hand-painted decoration depicts a Breton man in traditional costume, surrounded by floral motifs in vibrant colors. Subtle reliefs created by the paint highlights are evident, a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship for which the Henriot factory is renowned. Based on the signature HR Quimper with the slightly stylized R and the original Q, this stamped piece can be dated to the period between 1891 (the date of acquisition by Monsieur Henriot) and 1920 (the date of the stamp change). Height 27 cm, diameter at the opening 13 cm, base diameter 10 cm. Good antique condition: some minor chips from use on the neck and base, and a tiny hairline crack at the top edge (typical for an age piece - see photos). The inside bottom could use a cleaning. An authentic heritage piece, perfect for display as a collector's item. A truly timeless touch of charm for a country chic or bohemian interior.
