Plia 5 chairs by Giancarlo Peretti for Castelli vintage

5 plia chairs with smoked transparent plexi, designed by Giancarlo, Peretti, for Castelli in 1967. 4+1 4 chairs, signed and engraved 1 chair without signature almost identical. 3 chairs have a brown tending towards yellow. 2 others have a brown tending towards pink. The shades are weak and all five go extremely well together. Good general condition with scratches and normal wear, see photos.  Designer Giancarlo Piretti revolutionized the concept of folding chair with Plia. Having become cult and awarded several times since its creation, the folding chair combines steel and polycarbonate structure to combine design and practicality. It features a three-ball joint that is considered a stroke of design genius. This allows the chair to occupy a reduced space of only 5 cm when folded The Plia chairs are equipped with black glides to protect fragile floors. 41x 41xh75 cm Thanks to its iconic design and the immense popularity of the chair, it is now in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
