Loupot, charles (france, 1892 - 1962) "sato egyptian cigarettes", lithographic poster, berghaus verlag, kirchdorf, germany, 1985. "charles loupot, the most "painter" of poster artists born july 20, 1892 in nice, charles loupot s enrolled in 1911 at the lyon school of fine arts. There he produced his first poster on the student ball, in a very figurative but already very mastered style; the printing museum has just acquired one of the rare remaining examples of this youthful creation..." "his style is that of the very prominent swiss school, to which he added his slight french touch, a combination which worked very well for the products which we asked him to do the advertising. This poster is one of the most beautiful of this first period (he moved to paris in 1923). In his swiss mannerist style, it represents a delicate drawing of fashionable beauty who languorously enjoys a cigarette. The use of blue and orange as predominant colors is exquisite and attracts attention..." published in "posters 1900" by berghaus verlag, #1, it is marked on the back "# 2 unbekannter künstler plakat für eine automobillaunstellung in amsterdam" very good condition despite the weather. It would be delivered in a cardboard tube for better protection.
