Beautiful and rare "tulip" or "cornet" vase, made of solid crystal, strong, moulded under pressure, with slight relief, featuring an alternation of lines, some adorned with diamond points, others smooth. The neck of the vase is shaped, multilobed. The vase rests on a beautiful mount in gilded bronze, consisting of a wide circular base (very stable), on which a beautiful and elegant pedestal is fixed. The base is decorated with a motif of shells and scrolls, while the pedestal features a stylised leaf pattern. An antique piece from the Baccarat Manufacture, model "Serpentine", from the early 20th century (or late 19th), around 1890-1910. Given its age, the vase does not bear a signature. However, the style, craftsmanship, and quality of Baccarat are very clear; the Serpentine model is emblematic of the Baccarat house. A very beautiful and rare object. Indeed, while the Serpentine model has been widely produced and varied, finding it in a cornet vase is rare. The crystal is qualitatively beautiful, dense, solid, and brilliant, and the gilded bronze complements the elegance of the crystal well. The lines with diamond points catch the light perfectly. In very good condition, with intact brilliance, there is only one very small chip that is almost invisible to the touch and hardly noticeable (see photo). Total height: 24.5 cm. Height of the crystal vase: 14.5 cm. Depth: 11 cm. Diameter of the base: 11.2 cm. Diameter of the neck of the vase: 10.5 cm. Weight: 750 g.
