Scandinavian two-seater sofa with wooden frame, brass feet, and original upholstery. Scania model, designed by Folke Ohlsson for Ljungs Industrier in the 1950s–60s. Two-seater sofa model “Scania”, designed by Folke Ohlsson for Ljungs Industrier, produced in the 1950s–60s. The external beech wood frame is defined by slender lines, tapered legs with brass caps and gently curved armrests that follow the profile of the upholstery. The seat and backrest are composed of separate cushions, a typical feature of Nordic design that introduces greater flexibility of use and visual lightness. Folke Ohlsson was one of the key figures of Scandinavian modernism, known for combining formal elegance with industrial production. His collaboration with Ljungs Industrier resulted in well-proportioned and accessible designs, contributing to the international spread of Swedish design in the post-war period. The original upholstery, in grey-blue fabric, complements the warm tone of the wood. Shows minor signs of age and use. Please look carefully at the photographs. AG182.
